ASK US!
"I have a shirt with a wine stain on it. What should I do to get rid of it to make your job easier?"
Hil, Metairie
Hey Hil,
Believe it or not, you shouldn't do anything to it!
A stain like that is actually kind of a challenge to remove. The reason is that stains interact differently with different fabrics. And that is where the challenge begins.
For example, ink on cotton (such as in the pocket of a cotton shirt) is very hard to remove. On the other hand, ink on polyester or acetate is very easy to remove.
Anything that you add to the stain, even if it's water, would be another stain on top of that stain. The best thing to do is to bring the garment in as soon as you possibly can.

Frequently Asked Questions Why is the service for some clothing more expensive than the service for other pieces of clothing?
about dry cleaning
Some garments require more attention in pressing and cleaning than others (i.e. fitted ladies' blouses, big and tall garments and children's garments).
Why do some shirts come out differently than others when you use starch?
It's all about the cotton content. Shirts that are 100% cotton absorb all the starch. Shirts that contain 50% or less cotton will only absorb 50% of the starch.
What can I do to remove gum from the seat of my pants?
Ice works here. It hardens the gum so that it becomes easy to peel off. The dry cleaning process also removes the gum with no problem.
